| Ebay Text 2 | SYMPTOMS OF FAULT ABS light on dashboard, rusted or disintegrated ABS plate, ABS sensor hanging loose. Sometimes the plate is rusted away to the point where it is completely missing. THE FAULT   It is very common for ABS plates to rust away, disconnecting it from the ABS sensor The ABS plates that sit over the wheel hub corrode and disintegrate over time, thus reducing the connectivity to the ABS sensor and generating an ABS fault code. These plates are not available to buy separately as they are built into the rear axle and Renault garages will charge over £1000 for a new axle plus labour. Even scrap yards are not willing to sell the plates separately as they can make more money selling the complete axles. THE SOLUTION
Install our replacement improved design ABS plate to last the lifetime of the vehicle Our own design ABS plates are a much more cost-effective solution to this common and simple issue. Constructed of marine grade stainless steel to prevent any corrosion, be wary of mild steel originals as these will only fail again. Most of the time the brackets are a simple press fit on to the shaft. For the rare occasions the shaft has corroded outside of tolerance we have added two convenient cut outs to our sensor plate so that spot welds can be added to retain the plate in position.
